Celebrating Business Excellence in Stockport

Today Stockport Council's Environmental Health and Trading Standards celebrated local businesses who have gone that extra mile in pursuit of excellence.

Stuart Bodsworth the council's Executive member responsible for Environmental Health and Trading Standards said, "These awards are recognition for businesses that stand out in their care for their customers. I hope the awards will help these businesses prosper during difficult times."

"During the economic downturn it is the businesses that keep their standards high while offering value for money that will prosper not the ones who cut corners and let their customers down."

Mayor of Stockport Pam King presented awards in the following categories;

Food Safety Award - for businesses who have passed three surprise food safety inspections.
